On a trip to India in 2011, Harish I. Patel saw first-hand how textile farmers are burdened with debt and long work days. He wanted to address this problem with a solution. He found it by creating Ishi, a fair trade, chemical-free clothing line comprising of vests and scarves.
“Ishi believes in the fair trade model which typically means you want to pay a good, livable wage for the workers that are producing your products,” Patel said.
